An Elyria man was hospitalized with what is being termed serious injuries following a one-vehicle crash Sunday.
According to a news release from the Ohio State Highway Patrol, Tanner Hendrix, 19, was driving a 2005 Chevrolet Colorado east on Osborne Road around 12:44 p.m. Sunday when he drove off the right side of the road. The vehicle struck a driveway embankment, went airborne and hit a tree. Hendrix, who was not wearing a seatbelt, struck the windshield with his head. He was taken to Southwest General Hospital in Middleburg Heights.
The crash remains under investigation.
