AVON -- Police responded to a bomb threat at 5:20 p.m. Tuesday at Avon High School after a threatening note was found in the boys’ bathroom.
The building was searched and nothing was found.
District safety protocols were enacted which included an extensive search of the Avon High School campus.
“Nothing was found, no bomb- only a note,” said Jim Drozdowski, public information officer for Avon police.
Once the school was deemed secure, previously scheduled activities were resumed in the evening.
Superintendent Mike Laub said he had no comment on the incident.
Drozdowski said the police and school officials are following up on the investigation.
