ELYRIA – Three teenagers and a 31-year-old man were arrested early this morning for breaking into a building on East Avenue.

Michael Mudrick, 19, of Toledo Avenue, Lorain, Isabella Gorbey, 18, of West River Road, Elyria, and Johnathan Buckhalter, 31, of Cleveland Street, Elyria, are charged with breaking and entering. John Riffe III, 18, of West River Road South, Elyria, is charged with complicity of breaking and entering.

Police say they caught the three actively breaking into the building behind Boomers Bar at 5 a.m. today, Tuesday, and later learned Riffe was serving as a lookout.

Police say the door to the building had been kicked open and damaged. A witness told police the four suspects tried to run just before officers arrived.

All four were being held at Lorain County Jail pending the posting of their $2,500 bond or court date.
