LORAIN -- Breonna Bright heard a loud noise in her home on Missouri Avenue around 9 a.m. and thought it was her mother, gardening in the back yard, dropping something.

Instead, it was a man driving his sport utility vehicle into the front of her home.

Police charged Marvin Sims, 57, of Lorain, with failure to control in the incident. Police believe he was distracted, and showed no signs of intoxication. Sims told police he sneezed and passed out, police said.

The vehicle knocked out the gas line and took off the siding on the front of the house and damaged a window, but the house remained structurally sound. No one was injured.
