ELYRIA -- The Lorain County Justice Center has been closed to the public because of severed communication lines.
County Facilities Director Karen Davis said workers on the Third Street project hit the lines at 9:12 a.m., cutting off communications.
She said it was unclear how long it would take to restore service to the building.
In the meantime, Davis said, security concerns caused by the lack of phones, internet and other means of connecting to the outside world meant the people entering the building needed to be limited.
