Elyria blotter: Woman accused of attacking husband with portable heater, butcher knife

3:15 a.m. Aug. 30 — Colonial Oaks, 121 South Carolina Ave., Deborah Buettner, 53, same address, arrested and charged with domestic violence. Buettner’s husband said they argued inside their home and she struck him repeatedly on the head with a portable heater and slashed him on the right and left forearms with a butcher knife before he subdued her. The husband had cuts on right ear, forearms and right hand, police said.

Friday, Aug. 29

  • 10:03 p.m. — 800 block West Ave., Jevon Pitmon, 38, same address, arrested and charged with domestic violence. Black’s girlfriend and a witness said he accused the girlfriend of infidelity and then pushed her to the sidewalk.

Saturday, Aug. 30

  • 12:07 a.m. — 300 block East Ave., David Clowser, 47, same address, arrested and charged with domestic violence. Clowser’s girlfriend accused him of threatening to kill her, which Clowser denied. The girlfriend, who police said had bruises on the back of both legs, said Clowser kicked her several times in the legs a few days ago in their apartment, causing deep bruising.

Sunday, Aug. 31

  • 2:58 p.m. — 100 block Portia Court, Ashley Guana, 26, same address, arrested and charged with assault. A neighbor of Guana’s said Guana attacked her after returning a bowl she borrowed. The woman, who police said had scratches on her forearms and marks on her left side, said Guana pushed her, kneed her in the left side of the ribs and repeatedly punched and slapped her.
