LORAIN — Police arrested Christopher Williams Jr., 18, 1517 Paine St., on charges of possession of cocaine, obstructing official business and illegal conveyance of drugs into a detention facility Friday night.
According to police, Williams was the passenger of a vehicle that made an improper turn, drove over a curb and did not immediately stop when police attempted to initiate a traffic stop. The driver, Connie Jones, 41, 310 Kay Ave., told police she had picked up Williams from the Erieview Motel, who she only knew as “Phats,” to give him a ride. Police described Jones as loopy and giggly. She was charged with improper left turn and released from the scene.
When police asked Williams his birthday two separate times he provided two different answers after telling them he was Derrick Foster. Williams later revealed his true identity and told police he had warrants for domestic violence as well as parole violations through the Lorain County Sheriff’s Office. After placing Williams in a cruiser, police noticed white crumbs in the backseat of the cruiser, which appeared to be cocaine.
Police performed a strip search of Williams at the station where they asked him to spread his buttocks and a small bag of cocaine fell out. Officers could see something else protruding from Williams’ rear, at which point he admitted “there’s still more in there.”
Officers asked him to cough and more cocaine in a tinfoil wrapper came out.
