Lorain blotter: Resident cited for public indecency

8:58 p.m. July 13 — 1800 block E. 33rd St., Ramon Cruz, 87, same address, cited for public indecency. Neighbors said Cruz masturbated on his front porch across the street from them. Cruz denied the accusation.

Friday, July 11

  • 4:19 p.m. — West 21st Street and Ashland Avenue, Yato Segun, 57, 2100 block Ashland Ave., arrested and charged with assault. Segun is accused of fighting with a tow truck driver attempting to repossess Segun’s car.

Sunday, July 13

  • 10:33 a.m. — 1600 block W. Ninth St., a resident said someone stole the tires off the vehicle that was parked in her driveway overnight.
  • 2 p.m. — 1200 block W. 38th St., a couple said someone smashed the rear window of their home overnight and scratched obscene words into their car parked in the driveway. They said it is part of ongoing harassment, but were unsure who was responsible.
  • 4:55 p.m. — 1800 block E. 28th St., a woman said someone smashed the front passenger window of her uncle’s car and rummaged through it between 11 p.m. Thursday and 6 a.m. Friday. She said she was unsure if anything was stolen.
  • 7:09 p.m. — West 21st Street and Oakdale Avenue, Isaac Buxton, 23, 1200 block W. Ninth St., arrested and charged with driving with a suspended license, obstructing official business, possession of marijuana and possession of prescription pills. Police said Buxton ran from them when they tried to arrest him for driving with a suspended license. They said Buxton has 13 open license suspensions. They said they found marijuana and prescription pills in the vehicle Buxton was driving, and he was carrying a large amount of cash, which officers confiscated.
