Woman says two gunshots fired into Lorain house

LORAIN – A woman who heard two loud “pops” in her house went downstairs to find a bullet lying on her living room floor.

Shai Cook told police she was in her house on the 3100 block of Cromwell Avenue at about 1:30 a.m. on Tuesday when she heard a few loud “pops” coming from the first floor of her house.

When she went downstairs Cook said she found the stuffing from her couch lying on the floor, according to police. As she picked up the stuffing, Cook found a bullet lying on the ground.

According to the police report, Cook checked the rest of her house and found someone had fired two gunshots into her house, lodging the other bullet in her wall.

She told police she didn’t know why anyone would shoot at her home. Officers couldn’t find any suspects on Tuesday.
