LORAIN — A man grazed in the head by a bullet in a shooting in the 3900 block of Gary Avenue about 11 p.m. Sunday is recovering.
Adrian Pennington, 22, address unknown, was treated and released from MetroHealth Medical Center in Cleveland on Monday, according to a nursing supervisor. Pennington was wounded while breaking up a fight among neighbors on the sidewalk, witnesses told The Chronicle-Telegram.
Witnesses said a neighbor who had a stun gun taken away from him during the fight was responsible for the shooting. They said the man retreated about 20 yards onto the front lawn of a home at 3915 Gary Ave., pulled out a pistol and fired several shots across the street.
Witnesses said Pennington bled profusely after being grazed, but didn’t lose consciousness. A police report was unavailable Monday, but police spokesman Capt. Roger Watkins said the shooter remained at large.
