LORAIN -- A woman told police a man she knew forced her to give him oral sex and then threatened to kill her early Thursday.
James Thomas, 27, was charged with aggravated menacing around 2:30 a.m. at the 1700 block of Broadway.
A friend of Thomas' told police that two hours earlier, Thomas had come to her apartment on the 1700 block of Broadway. She said they started talking in her bedroom, which led to sex, according to the police report.
Thomas asked the friend to give him oral sex and when she refused, he slapped her several times until she gave in, according to the report. The friend told police she started crying and Thomas put a hand over her mouth to keep her quiet.
When Thomas left, the friend went to her neighbor's apartment and called police. Police arrived around 2:30 a.m. and spoke with the friend whose face looked red "as if she had been slapped," according to the report.
In the middle of their interview with the friend, Thomas called her cell phone and police heard him ask why officers were at her apartment, according to the report. He told the friend that if she was "setting him up," he would kill her, according to police.
Thomas arrived at the friend's apartment soon after the call and police confronted him with the accusation. Police charged him with aggravated menacing and told him that they would continue to investigate the incident, according to the report.
Thomas’ bond and court date have not been set.
