Elyria pimp’s son pleads guilty to drug charge

ELYRIA — The son of convicted pimp Jeremy Mack pleaded guilty Friday in a drug case that stemmed from his arrest on the same day as police broke up his father’s online prostitution ring.

Toby Lewis, 19, was arrested on charges he was selling crack cocaine during an April raid to close down Mack’s operation, which Elyria police determined was being run out of a rented house on Tattersall Court.

Lewis also pleaded out to an unrelated drug case in which he and a friend were stopped in July.

Although Lewis wasn’t charged in connection with his father’s pimp ring, federal prosecutors have alleged in court documents that he was involved at least some aspects of the case.

Mack was convicted of sex trafficking, drug distribution and other charges in federal court and is awaiting sentencing. He had denied forcing the women who worked for him into prostitution, but prosecutors had argued that he ran up their drug debt and then compelled them to work as hookers in order to pay him back while he kept them at his house.

A sentencing date for Lewis has not been set.
