LORAIN — A woman told police her daughter’s boyfriend threatened her with a handgun that he’d been hiding in his wheelchair after they argued.
About 5:15 p.m. Sunday, a woman reported a domestic dispute and told police she went to her daughter’s house in the 500 block of Hamilton Avenue earlier in the afternoon because her daughter said her boyfriend, who uses a wheelchair, was being emotionally abusive.
The woman told police she was talking with her daughter about her relationship when her daughter’s boyfriend intervened and told her to “mind her own business,” according to a police report.
He then pulled a semi-automatic handgun out of the side of his wheelchair and told the woman “I run this place,” according to the report.
The boyfriend put the gun back in his wheelchair but kept his hand on it, according to the report. The woman’s daughter told her mother to leave before she got hurt.
The woman told police not to go to her daughter’s house because she thought it would make the situation worse, according to the report.
No arrests were made.
