A reward is being offered for information leading to the arrest of a Puerto Rican fugitive believed to be in the Cleveland area.
Carlos Garcia-Toro, also known as Peter Marquez Marquez, is wanted on charges of homicide and larceny by the U.S. Marshals Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force on a warrant out of San Juan.
Police say Garcia-Toro, 23, allegedly killed a man and was stealing bank account information from unsuspecting people and businesses. A warrant was issued in November 2012 and Garcia-Toro fled Puerto Rico and moved to Cleveland, according to a news release from the task force. Once in Cleveland, he obtained fraudulent documents and a driver’s license under his new identity, Peter Marquez Marquez.
Garcia-Toro is about 5 feet, 11 inches tall and 145 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes. He is believed to be hiding somewhere in Cleveland. He has a previous address near the 3400 block of West 50th Street, Cleveland.
