Avon, Avon Lake crime: Two cited for marijuana possession after officers investigate vehicle

7:38 p.m. Jan. 5 — Reserve Way at St. Andrew’s, Jacob Rigsby, 22, North Ridgeville, cited for possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia; and Nicholas Grazetti, 25, North Ridgeville, cited for possession of marijuana, after officers investigated a vehicle with its dome light on and found Rigsby and Grazetti inside.

Saturday, Jan. 4

  • 2:23 a.m. — State Route 83, James Schuster, 21, 34800 block Summerhill Drive, cited for reckless operation, operating a vehicle under the influence and excess blood-alcohol content.
  • 11:41 a.m. — Weston Drive, David Guzman, 48, Cleveland, charged with possession of heroin, criminal tools and expired plates during a traffic stop.
  • 1:38 p.m. — Interstate 90, Arthur Wembley, 35, Lorain, cited for possession of marijuana and no front plate during a traffic stop for an equipment violation.

Monday, Jan. 6

  • 5:08 p.m. — 1600 block Center Road, Terence Staken, 33, arrested and charged with theft at Best Buy.

  • 1:12 p.m. — 700 block Avon Belden Road, theft of a television and snow blower.

Saturday, Jan. 4

  • 9:42 a.m. — 300 block Long Pointe Drive, a resident who has lived in the home for four years reported finding a handgun above a cabinet while remodeling the laundry room.
  • 1:15 p.m. — 32800 block Lake Road, items missing from a home after a burglary.

Sunday, Jan. 5

  • 2:40 p.m. — 400 block Avon Belden Road, reported theft of a purse and use of credit cards from the purse.

Monday, Jan. 6

  • 11:48 a.m. — 32200 block Country Club Drive, reported theft of a package from a front porch.
