Suspect in two-county pursuit arrested in Grafton Township

GRAFTON TWP. — A suspect who led police on a two-county vehicle and foot chase Friday night has been arrested.

Angel David Santana Maisonet, 44, was arrested at 9:30 a.m. Saturday by a Grafton police officer and an auxiliary police officer, according to the Cleveland Police Department.

A Crook Road resident called Grafton police to report that his garage had been entered and rummaged through.

Officers arrived and checked the premises, where they located Maisonet inside a camper, according to Cleveland police. He was taken into custody without incident.

Maisonet is wanted for aggravated robbery and is a suspect in several other aggravated robberies.

He was spotted Friday night in Cleveland, but when officers attempted to stop him, he fled. He led police on a chase through Lorain County, where he crashed his vehicle near the intersection of state routes 57 and 83 in Grafton Township.

Maisonet ran into a wooded area on foot, losing a shoe when he bailed out from the vehicle, police said.

The area in which Maisonet was last seen was searched extensively by officers and K-9s from multiple agencies, but he was not located Friday night.

About two dozen police cars were involved in the chase and subsequent hunt for Maisonet, who likely will face multiple charges in Cleveland in connection with the incident.
