LORAIN – When someone fired a shot into a Lorain woman’s house on Monday morning, she told police it could be the result of an ongoing feud between her, a woman she knows and the woman’s brother “Pookie.”
Around 1 a.m. on Monday police responded to a house on 1100 block of Washington Avenue where Kenyana Brown, 19, told police that she had heard a shot fired into the house moments earlier.
Brown told police she was upstairs in the house with some family members when they heard a shot fired downstairs. When Brown checked the first floor, she found a bullet hole in window and glass shattered on the floor below but no shooter in sight.
Police searched the area and found a used bullet casing on the driveway outside and the bullet lying on the windowsill.
Brown told police she had been in a fight with a woman she knew who also lives in Lorain. Brown told police that two weeks prior to the shooting, the woman told Brown that her brother “Pookie,” would come to beat up Brown.
No one was injured in the shooting and police were not able to get in contact with the woman or Pookie after the incident on Monday.
