Elyria, Lorain blotter: Woman arrested after allegedly walking with heroin-filled syringe

Wednesday, Oct. 16

  • 10:00 p.m. — 300 block Fourth St., a woman told police that her boyfriend stole $60 from her house.

Thursday, Oct. 17

  • 2:20 p.m. — 100 block Market Drive, a Home Depot employee said someone came into the store, placed items in a cart and pushed the cart out of the store.
  • 7:00 p.m. — 500 block Georgetown Ave., a woman said her car was broken into while it was parked outside of her apartment. She told police that someone looked through her glove compartment and stole her GPS.
  • 10:39 p.m. — 300 block East Bridge St., Ashley Lynch, 20, was charged with possession of heroin, drug abuse instruments and paraphernalia after police found her walking around East Bridge Street with a heroin-filled syringe.


Wednesday, Oct. 16

  • 6:20 a.m. — 1200 block New Jersey Ave., someone broke into a home and stole items, including a snow blower, a weed eater and a PlayStation.
  • 4:30 p.m. — 4200 block Pearl Ave., a man said someone he knew stole his wallet. He told police that his 7-year-old son saw the man with the wallet.
  • 8:16 p.m. — 2400 block E. 42nd St., a man said someone he knew threatened to beat him up.
  • 7 p.m. —1600 block Wallace Lane, a man said someone stole a radio from his car.
  • 10:25 p.m. — 4300 block Leavitt Road., a woman was approached by a man with a $100 bill in a store. She said the man asked her for change, and when she gave him five $20 bills, the man ran off with her money and the $100 bill.

Thursday, Oct. 17

  • 2:00 a.m. — 5100 block W. Erie Ave., a resident who left a car unlocked and parked told police that someone stole a stereo and a CD player from the car.
  • 6:00 a.m. — 1900 block Lexington Ave., a resident said damage was done to a car door while it was parked in the driveway.
  • 2:30 p.m.— 4300 block Leavitt Road, a man who went into a store and left his car parked outside told police that when he returned to his car, it was keyed.
