C.J. Conrad caught his first three passes when Kentucky needed it the most.

The freshman tight end’s 24-yard touchdown reception with 1:58 remaining in the third quarter gave the Wildcats a lead they would not relinquish in their first win over a ranked team since 2010, beating No. 25 Missouri 21-13.

Conrad, who played football at Keystone High, finished with 55 receiving yards, good for second on the team. As a result of his breakout game, he was named one of two honorable mentions for the John Mackey Tight End of the Week Award.

l Buffalo senior wide receiver Ronnie Willoughby leads the Bulls in receptions with 22. The Avon Lake graduate also leads the team in yards with 269 through four games and touchdown reception.

l Northwestern redshirt senior Geoff Mogus — a St. Edward graduate and Lorain resident — has started all four games on the offensive line for the 4-0 Wildcats, ranked No. 16 in the latest AP Poll.

l Akron redshirt senior Andrew Bohan — an Avon Lake graduate — has started all four games on the offensive line for the Zips.

l John Carroll senior David Porter is second on the team with 19 tackles — seven solo. The Benedictine graduate and Lorain resident has two sacks and a forced fumble for the 3-0 Blue Streaks, ranked No. 11 in the latest D3Football.com poll.
