The Wellington Town Hall
The Wellington Town Hallwas started in 1884. Mr. Oscar Cobb was hired to design a building including an opera house. Watson Wean, the mayor, hired a New York theatre company to come and perform. Others later acts included were Jack Benny, W.C. Fields, and Abbot and Costello. Some felt it should be torn down but the Wellington citizens saved it in 1972 Thanks to these citizens, the town hall still stands. Chris Boyce Wellington High School 10th Grade |
