My Grandfather in World War II

The subject of my photo is my Grandpa in his world war II uniform. The location of the photo is in Germany. He was injured in the back by a cannon ball, shells and left his favorite and trusty gun behind, leaning on a tree. The Historical evidence to the community is he is still alive and living in Avon.

    Historical site: 35290 Detroit Road

Our site is In Avon, Ohio. The address of the house is 35290 Detroit Road, Avon Ohio 44011. It was built in 1907. It was originally a farm. The farm grew wheat, corn, and apples. This farm also had grape vines. Eventually, it was an office for Avenbury lakes. This office was open for anyone who wanted to come. Now it is our teacher’s house. Our site is historical because it was a historic farm.

    Old Towne Hall

Avon is known for a lot of things-from hopping business to lots of farmland. Avon’s Old Towne Hall of 1871 is of great interest to me. It is located on Detroit Road. The land was purchased for $400 and then built for $800. Forty-six years later, it was bought by the City of Avon. Avon’s first fire station was then added on and that was the start of a new city!
