NORTH RIDGEVILLE -- Police closed the entrance ramp to Interstate 480 from the Ohio Turnpike after a large diesel fuel spill just after 2 p.m. Thursday.
One lane currently is open but motorists are urged to use caution traveling in the area due to workers and emergency personnel in the area, North Ridgeville Police wrote on Facebook.
A HAZMAT team was on the way to help firefighters deal with the spill, police said. There was no immediate word on how much fuel spilled, though it reportedly came from a semi truck's saddle tanks.
A detour to state Route 57 in Elyria was recommended for those needing to get around the spill.
