A slippery commute to work this morning may turn into a wet and foggy one later today.

The National Weather Service in Cleveland is calling for warmer temperatures following its previous winter weather advisory for Lorain and counties east to Trumbull and Mahoning.

In Lorain County, there’s a 90 percent chance of rain, mainly after 4pm. Patchy fog is expected after 5 p.m. with a high near 40 and southeast wind gusts as high as 28 mph. after 5pm. High near 40. Southeast wind 14 to 16 mph, with gusts as high as 28 mph. 

Black River schools opened on a two-hour delay this morning, but no other delays or cancellations were reported.

Snow and freezing rain are in the forecast through 3 p.m. according to a winter weather advisory from the National Weather Service in Cleveland.

The warning area includes Toledo, Port Clinton, Fremont, Sandusky, Lorain and cities to the east in Cuyahoga, Lake, Geauga, Ashtabula, Summit, Portage, Trumbull and Mahoning counties.  Mixed precipitation is expected with snow of up to one inch and a light ice glaze expected.

Black River schools are operating on a two-hour delay, but no other delays or cancellations are reported.
