Deeds of parcels of Pikewood Manor Mobile Home Park were transferred to OH Pikewood Manor LLC.

ELYRIA — Pikewood Manor Mobile Home Park and other parcels of land were sold for $23 million Monday, according to the Lorain County auditor.

The deeds to portions of the mobile home park were transferred from its former owners of Leona Heights Ltd., Midway Realty Co. and Sommer Realty Co. to OH Pikewood Manor LLC.

Kent Sommer, president of the Sommer Realty Co., declined to comment on the transfer. Sommer signed off all three deeds as the manager of Leona Heights Ltd. and the vice president of Midway Realty Co.

According to a cached image of the Pikewood Manor’s website, which is now unavailable, the mobile home park has 400 community sites on approximately 125 acres of land situated between Interstate 90 and Interstate 80. It is across state Route 57 from Midway Mall.

Lorain County Auditor’s Office Real Estate Tax Administrator Joni Poli said the sale likely is through coordination of the three companies.

“It could be a possibility that there are three companies that own this together and they’re now selling it off together,” she said.

Pikewood Manor LLC, according to the conveyance statement, is a Delaware limited liability corporation with a tax mailing address in New Jersey. According to, a Delaware LLC is a business that is legally separate from its owners. Owners and managers are not personally liable for the company’s debts and obligations, the site said.

More than 30 land parcels were sold, included parcels that make up the mobile home site. The other parcels are spread throughout the city of Elyria and Elyria Township.
