ELYRIA — The main auto title and passport office on the first floor of the Lorain County Administration Building at 226 Middle Ave., will temporarily close for remodeling.
The office will be closed Sept. 17 through Oct. 26, according to Lorain County Clerk of Courts Tom Orlando. The office will re-open to the public Oct. 29.
“Our new floor plan, larger customer waiting area, dedicated passport counter and other enhancements have been thoughtfully and economically designed to meet our current and future technological needs and better serve our customers,” Orlando said.
During the temporary closure, the staff at main office will be reassigned to other branch offices in Amherst, Lorain and North Ridgeville, a release from Orlando said. The other offices are at 2290 Kresge Drive in Amherst, 621 Broadway in Lorain and 33121 Center Ridge Road in North Ridgeville.
