NORTH RIDGEVILLE — Police are investigating after a body was found in an unattached garage next to a home on Jaycox Road.

Police would not confirm whether the body is that of Harold Litten Jr., 60, who was last seen living at the home and was reported missing by his family April 17.

A neighbor said Litten goes by his middle name, Rich.

Police Chief Michael Freeman would not comment on whether the death is suspicious. No one has been taken into custody.

Freeman also declined to discuss how the body was discovered.

“This is the house of a missing man, and we found a deceased male in the garage. We’re going to positively identify him before we’re going to say if it’s the man who’s gone missing,” Freeman said. “I’m not going to say any more than that.”
