Teens with drugs admit to robbery
ELYRIA — Two teens caught Wednesday morning with drugs at Elyria High School admitted to a robbery earlier in the week, Elyria police reports said.

A 16-year-old boy was cited with trafficking in marijuana and robbery.

He allegedly had 30.9 grams of pot wrapped in 20 individual bags and told police he was going to sell them in school, one report said.

A 14-year-old boy was cited with possession of Adderall, an amphetamine used to treat attention deficit hyperactivity disorder.

He told police he planned to sell two pills in order to buy shoes.

Both boys had allegedly been bragging about robbing a 14-year-old boy Monday night, the reports said.

The boy with the Adderall told police the robbery was the result of a drug deal gone bad.

According to the reports, both boys admitted to setting up their victim with a phony marijuana sale on Georgia Avenue, then assaulting him and taking $200.

Some of that cash was used as investment capital for the marijuana the older teen planned to sell, the reports said.
