Monday, Sept. 22

9:15 a.m.  — South Main Street, police took complaint from business about suspected employee theft.

Wednesday, Sept. 24

10:27 a.m. – state Route 58 at College Street. Shadd Boggs, 32, of Elyria, arrested on a warrant.

Friday, Sept. 26

9:10 a.m.  – North Pleasant Street and state Route 511, Stacy Canada, 27, of Amherst, a passenger in a car, charged with possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

8:05 p.m. – state Route 58 and U.S. Route 20, 17-year-old boy charged with underage consumption of liquor after allegedly trying to steal a 12-pack of beer from Wal-Mart. The youth smelled of liquor and had a bottle of Land Shark, an alcoholic beverage, on his person, a report stated.

Sunday, Sept. 28

3:34 a.m. – 100 block Forest St., burglary reported.

11:53 a.m. – 100 block N. Park St., Jesus Cruz, 27, of Oberlin, arrested on a warrant.

Tuesday, Sept. 23

2:14 a.m. 200 block E. Herrick Ave., bike found.

Wednesday, Sept. 24

6:26 p.m. — 600 block N. Main St., Obama sign damaged in front yard. Two Obama signs each costing $8 were earlier stolen.

Thursday, Sept. 25

10:02 a.m. – 100 block E. Herrick Ave., cash register containing about $350 taken from resale shop,

1:46 p.m. – 500 block W. Herrick Ave., resident concerned about threats by neighbor.

11:05 p.m. —  23000 block Pitts Road, Robert L. Trimble, 29, of Wellington, charged with fleeing police, obstructing official business, criminal damaging and criminal trespass after police responded to complaint about vehicle driving through grounds of water filtration plant. He said another man accidentally drove the Chevrolet Trailblazer into a newly dug retention pond at the plant, and Trimble said he drove at full throttle to get out, nearly hitting a police cruiser. Trimble told officers he panicked and drove off but later turned himself in to police.

Friday, Sept. 26

9:53 p.m. –  South Main and Kent streets, Alexiyey W. Herman, 31, of Wellington, charged with driving under suspension and loud muffler.

Saturday, Sept. 27

12:09 a.m. – 700 block N. Main St., female driver left gas station without paying $105 for gas. Staff got license plate number and woman later promised to return and pay for the fuel.

Sunday, Sept. 28

1:20 a.m. – North Main Street near Taylor, Nathan Hunker, 18, cited for underage consumption. He refused to sign the citation and asked to be put in jail, saying he does not have the money to pay the fine.

1:35 p.m. – Mosey Inn, police took report about bar fight involving two women.

11:23 p.m. – 800 block N. Main St., syringe found in parking lot of grocery store.
