STRONGSVILLE — A lack of consistent play hurt Elyria as the Pioneers lost 25-22, 25-15, 25-19 to Strongsville in Northeast Ohio Conference Valley Division action Tuesday night.
Kristen Boros had nine kills and 16 digs for the Pioneers
(12-4, 6-1 NEOC Valley), while teammate Amanda Medvetz had 15 digs.
Midview 25-26-18-25, Avon 21-24-25-20
GRAFTON — Jacki Street had
23 kills and 10 blocks for the Middies (14-4, 10-1 WSC). Stephanie Bayus had 19 service points (five aces) and 15 digs, and Hannah Duran had 44 assists for the winners in a West Shore Conference match.
Sara Ledegaard had 14 service points, while Christina Herbst had 22 kills and eight blocks for the Eagles (11-8, 7-4 WSC). Avon’s Lindsay Koehler had 24 digs, and Kenzie Berkheimer had 38 assists.

NORTH RIDGEVILLE — Stephanie Wargo had 27 service points (six aces), and Teresa Davis had nine kills for the Falcons (9-10, 3-8 WSC). Morgan Mastellone had nine digs, while Abbey Williams had 21 assists and Vanessa Borrelli had eight blocks, with three block kills.
Deidre Lanigan had eight points (two aces), while Rachel Crow had nine kills for the Rangers (1-18,

VERMILION — Heather Vargo had 14 service points and 10 digs for the Pirates (14-5, 9-2 WSC), while Maave Kessler had 12 kills and four blocks. Rocky River’s Molly McCarthy had 34 assists.
Katie Swinehart had 12 points (three aces), and Katie Karres had seven kills for the Sailors (8-11, 3-8 WSC). Vermilion’s Alyssa Rodriguez had 10 digs, while Lea Baron had 12 assists and Madie Virgin had seven solo blocks and one block assist.

ELYRIA — Katie Wetzel had three aces and 25 digs for the Panthers (10-9, 4-6 NCL) in North Coast League action. Elyria Catholic’s Theresa Krosse had 30 assists, and Megan Hanson had seven blocks. Hanson and teammate Zoe Zwegat each had 14 kills.

SULLIVAN — Hillary Markel had 10 service points (four aces) and nine digs for the Dukes (12-8, 6-5 PAC) in Patriot Athletic Conference action. Callie McConnell had 12 service points (two aces), while Megan Auble had 13 digs and seven kills for the winners. Wellington’s Morgan Brasee had eight assists, and Rachel Cook had 15 assists. Melissa Rennie had nine kills, and Katie Stumphauzer had two solo block kills and Shelby Monschein had one solo block kill for the winners.
Cassondra Zumack had 10 kills and seven digs for the Pirates. Black River’s Kelly Hozan had four points and seven digs, while Emily Sipes had 11 assists and Taylor Goff had four.
