William C. Sabo, 91, of
Bill worked at the Duplex Foundry and Ridge Tool in
As Seaman First Class in the Navy during World War II, Bill served aboard the USS Almaack in the Pacific Theater. He was well-known throughout
He was a member of the United Polish Club of Elyria, the Elyria Veterans of Foreign Wars, AMVETS Post 47, the Hungarian Reformed Church of Lorain and it’s Men’s Brotherhood organization.
Bill is survived by sons, William, Jr. (Jeanine) of Dublin, Ohio and Mark (Jackie) of Avon Lake; brother, Joseph (Madeline) Sabo of Las Vegas; sisters-in-law, Katherine Sabo of Avon Lake and Evolie Matotek of Lorain; brother-in-law, Tony Trupo of Elyria; grandchildren, David, Michael, Steven, and Lauren; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Helen; brothers, Al, Tibor, and Ben; sister, Irene Trupo; and parents. Sandor and Rose Sabo.
Friends may call 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday, September 7, 2008, at Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel, 3224 Broadway,

my synpathy to the sabo family. bill was a great guy & good friend. i really injoyed playing golf & cards with him. he will be truly missed.
