Men terrorize woman, child in Westlake

WESTLAKE — Police said a 26-year-old woman and her 3-year-old son were terrorized in a home invasion early Thursday when four men broke into her home, groped her and threatened to rape her and kill her and the boy.
A back door was battered in during the incident, which occurred shortly before 2 a.m. on Courtland Meadows, said Westlake police Capt. Guy Turner.

Four black men in their 20s — two carrying guns — demanded money and ransacked the house after groping the woman, Turner said.
“They threatened to rape her in front of her son and shoot her in front of her son and kill the boy, too,” Turner said. “Our feeling is this was drug-related.”
“When she had a chance, she ran with her son to a neighbor’s house,” Turner said.
Police sources said the woman has no criminal record, but the father of her child has a conviction for carrying a concealed weapon and two counts of drug abuse and has a pending charge of having weapons under disability.
Westlake and North Olmsted police officers responded to 911 calls from the neighbor and the 26-year-old woman but the suspects had fled. No getaway vehicle was seen.
The suspects repeatedly pointed their firearms at her and her young son while ransacking the house. All the suspects appeared to be under the influence of alcohol.
A list of stolen property is incomplete, although a diamond watch and Prada jacket are known to have been taken.
One man wielded a black, full-size semiautomatic handgun with wooden grip plates and another displayed a black, full-size semiautomatic handgun.
One of the home invaders wore purple gloves, Turner said.

What is the world coming to?
Soon Westlake-ites will be moving to the boonies between Vermilion and Sandusky to get away from the “color”

Police are also investigating whether or not the woman had a functioning vagina at the time of the alleged crime, to determine if that could have been to blame for any sexual aspect of this case.
