Invacare Web site honors Paralympic participants

ELYRIA — Invacare Corporation and Invacare Top End, the company’s sports and recreation division, have launched a Web site dedicated to athletes participating in the Paralympics in Beijing, China.
The tribute can be found at www.invacare.com/2008paralympics, and honors the Team Invacare athletes competing Sept. 6 to 17 in racing, handcycling, tennis and basketball.
The site features athlete bios, photos and videos as well as information on Top End’s cutting-edge sports and recreation technologies — the chairs behind the athletes.
Top End staff attending the games in Beijing will update the site with medal counts, news and event information.
Invacare is headquartered in Elyria and manufactures long-term care medical products that promote recovery and active lifestyles.
