William Anton

Obituary

William Anton, 93, of Wellington, died Sunday, August 24, 2008, at Elms Nursing Home in Wellington. He was born April 7, 1915, in Olmsted Falls and graduated from Olmsted Falls High School in 1933.

William served in the Army 88th Engineers during WWII in Europe building bridges. He moved to Wellington in 1972. William worked for Rockwell International Corp., and was a member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Wellington.

Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Georgia; daughter, Anne Konkler of Eureka, Calif.; grandchildren, Bryan and Mark Konkler and Molly Merryman; and four great- grandchildren. He is also survived by a sister, Kathyrn Donovan of Parma.

William was preceded in death by his siblings, Philip, George, and Floryan Anton and sister, Mary Louise.

Friends may call 4to 8 p.m. Thursday, August 28, 2008, at Norton-Eastman Funeral Home, 370 S. Main St., Wellington. Friends will also be received from 10 a.m. until the time of the funeral Mass Friday, August 30, 2008, at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, 512 N. Main St., Wellington, with the Rev. James Reymann officiating. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery.
