Breaking News: Tubbs Jones in critical condition
Associated Press
EAST CLEVELAND, Ohio (AP) — A doctor says U.S. Rep. Stephanie Tubbs Jones of Ohio is in critical condition and has limited brain function following a hemorrhage.
Tubbs Jones, the first black woman to represent Ohio in Congress, collapsed while driving her car Tuesday.
Dr. Gus Kious says the 58-year-old Tubbs Jones suffered a brain hemorrhage in an inaccessible part of her brain and that a team of doctors who evaluated her determined she has limited brain function.
At a news conference, family friend Joe Hewitt asked people to pray for the congresswoman.
