James A. Campisi, Sr.
Obituary
James A. Campisi, Sr., 77, of North Ridgeville, died Saturday, July 12, 2008 at St. John West Shore Hospital, following a sudden illness. He was born December 10, 1930 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He had resided in North Ridgeville the past 16 years having moved from Westlake. He previously lived in Atlanta, Buffalo and New Jersey.
He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict.
Mr. Campisi was a Vice President of American Greetings, retiring in 1982. He had previously been employed by the Carnation Co. In New Jersey.
He enjoyed gardening, playing Bridge and tinkering around the house. He also taught computer classes at local Senior Centers.
Surviving are his son, James A. (Mary) Campisi, Jr. of Avon Lake; daughters, Terry Lynn (Dan) Malloy of Avon Lake and Brenda Lee (Bill) D’Amico of N. Ridgeville; nine grandchildren; and one sister, Angela Prichard of Mount Laurel, New Jersey.
He was preceded in death by wife, Norma E. in 1999; and his parents, Anthony and Angelina Campisi.
A Memorial service will be held at 7:30 P.M. Monday, July 14, 2008 at the David Bogner Family Funeral Home, 36625 Center Ridge Rd., N. Ridgeville, where friends will be received beginning at 6:30 P.M. Rev. Chuck Behrens will officiate.
