Jeannine and Gilbert LeScoezec

Congratulations to Jeannine (Veronneau) and Gilbert LeScoezec who will celebrate their upcoming 50th Wedding Anniversary!

The couple met and married in Montreal, Canada in the St. James Cathedral on July 5, 1958. The Rev. Pierre Rivest performed the ceremony.

Jeannine worked for Sherwin-Williams in Montreal as a bilingual secretary prior to moving to the United States. She now loves to spend time with grandchildren and volunteers for the Parks and Recreation Dept. as a receptionist.

Gil has been retired for 15 years, after 30 years of service with GM. He is an avid and accomplished golfer with three holes in one to his credit. Gil has held many offices with various golf groups over the years.

The couple have three grown, married children, Lynn Leon (Michael) of Avon, Daniel LeScoezec (Karen) of Chardon, and Mark LeScoezec (Elise) of Fairfield, Connecticut. They have seven grandchildren.

Traveling is a favorite past time. The couple spent a summer in France and surrounding countries visiting relatives. They returned to Ohio, and moved to Whittier, California, then back to LaPorte, Ohio, where they have resided for the last 46 years. Gil and Jeannine are snowbirds, who have enjoyed driving to their place in Fort Myers, Florida each fall for the last 15 years.

A seven day cruise to Bermuda, accompanied by family, is planned to celebrate this special occasion.
