Obituary
Helen Lee Potter (Miller), 80, of Amherst, died Wednesday, May 7, 2008 after a lengthy illness. She was born January 31, 1928 in Newcomerstown.
She worked at Gilford Instruments in Oberlin for 30 years, retiring on January 25, 1991. She was a former member of the Kipton Community Church and the Brownhelm Congregational United Church of Christ.
She loved spending time with her family, reading, music, cooking, and collecting elephants.
She is survived by her husband of 43 years, Carl, whom she married July 2, 1965; daughters, Patti (Jim) Aronhalt, of Columbus, and Judi (Gary) Davidson, of Amherst; sons, Daniel (Linda) Affolter, of Kentucky, Ronnie (Bonnie) Affolter, of Washington, Richard (Julie) Affolter, of Wakeman, and Douglas (Jennifer) Affolter, of Wooster; brother, Dean Miller, of Port Washington; 12 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Delbert and Florence (Ott) Miller.
Graveside services will be held Saturday, May 10 at 11 A.M. at the Camden Cemetery on Rt. 20 east of Kipton. Pastor Lee Stull will be officiating.
The family would like to thank all the staff at Amherst Manor, Amherst for the loving care and compassion they gave to our mother and for all the kindness they always gave to us.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 2500 North Reynolds Road, Toledo, OH 43615-28.
