Obituary
Warren A. Cuson, 77, of Amherst, and formerly of Elyria, passed away Wednesday evening, March 5, 2008, at New Life Hospice Center of Lorain following an extended illness.
He was born January 13, 1931, in Owosso, Mich., and lived most of his life in Elyria except the past two years, residing in Amherst.
Warren retired in 1988 from the General Motors Company/ Fisher-Guide Plant in Elyria with over 25 years as a tool and die maker. He was a member of UAW Local 780 of Elyria.
Warren enjoyed fishing, woodworking, country music and just spending time with his family.
He is survived by his six children, Deborah (Jon) Richmond of Pensacola, Fla., Denise (Daniel) Fordanich of Elyria, Sandy (Mike) Edwards of Amherst, Scott (Lani) Cuson of Litchfield, Sherry (Chris) Hardin of Wellington and Kelly (Butch) Poling of Litchfield; 11 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; sisters, Doris Rainey of Elyria, Dolores Gruver of Elyria and Sharon Corrao of Lorain; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Gwen Cuson in 2001; a son-in-law, David Wise; brothers, Donald, L.D., Robert "Fritz", Jack, Vernon "Bud" and Richard "Dick" Cuson; sisters, Mildred Kiser and Marceline Strait; and parents, Jay and Augusta Cuson (nee Goetz).
Friends may call 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday, March 9, 2008, at Busch Funeral Home, 114 Second St., Elyria. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Monday, March 10, 2008, at the funeral home. Barbara Habecker will serve as celebrant. Burial will be at Brookdale Cemetery in Elyria.
