ELECTION UPDATE — Early voters swarm Election Board

Bruce Bishop | The Chronicle-Telegram

If you’re considering early voting to save time, you might want to think twice.

The Lorain County Board of Elections, 1985 North Ridge Road in Sheffield Township, has a line doubling through the interior of the building and out the door.

There has been steady traffic as people try to get their votes in and the wait is anywhere from 45 minutes to an hour.

The reason for the rush according to the majority of the people in line is the projected winter storm that is expected to hit the county tonight and last into Tuesday.

For details on the bad weather and up to date coverage of the election keep an eye on chroniclet.com and your paper.

Early voting ends at 4:30 p.m. today. Polls open at 6:30 a.m. Tuesday.
