Lorain police officer facing foreclosure

NorthCoastNOW

ELYRIA — Lenders are seeking to foreclose on the Amherst home owned by Lorain police officer Corey Earl and his former wife.

Paperwork filed Tuesday in county Common Pleas Court shows the Earls owe $232,716.48 on the home, plus $8,082.44 in interest payments.

Earl and his wife signed a 30-year mortgage for the house at 1057 Cooper’s Run on Aug. 8, 2006, the court documents show. Deutsche Bank National Trust, on behalf of Ameriquest Mortgage Securities Inc., filed the suit.

I realize this officer has been very controversial and in the paper a lot, but this is over the line. It will be in the paper anyway, but you don’t need to make it headlines. Give the guy and his wife a break.

Agreed. This isn’t news. It seems that you are just trying to humiliate him now.

Please do us a favor and write an article on EVERY foreclosure in the county. Maybe these people need the press to help their cause instead of only writing about those who a “named” individuals in the news.

Thank you, Elyria Chronicle for reporting this! This man is a mess, and should not be representing, the good citizens of Lorain as a police officer Further, credit reports where one has bad credit, ect.., are indicators future bad behavior for problem employees in the private sector. Keep up the good work! This is just the tip of the iceberg!!!!

It’s funny that nothing was printed of the 2 (that I know of) Elyria police officers that had their houses foreclosed on!! How about an article an Officers Rider and Sword for having their homes foreclosed on!!!

Foreclosures are listed in the paper every Friday

Every foreclosure in the county is listed

Lorain Mayor, Tony Krasienko, had his foreclosure listed in the paper as well.

Officer(?) Earl is and has continued to be “in the news”

A foreclosure on an unemployed person not receiving a paycheck is understandable and forgiveable.

    However…

It takes nearly a perfect credit rating to become a police officer…in other words, a person facing forclosure could not become a police officer.
