Nasty storm coming

Jason Hawk | The Chronicle-Telegram

ELYRIA – Pull that snow shovel and salt out of the garage and get ready for a doozy.

A nasty storm is heading this way, and the National Weather Service says snow and sleet will pummel the county starting just after midnight.

A winter storm warning issued at 2:51 p.m. says to expect 2 to 4 inches of snow. When the sun rises, temperatures will peek above freezing and another quarter to a third of an inch of ice will fall, the weather service predicts.

All of northern Ohio and the western part of Pennsylvania will be affected, making driving through the entire region dangerous, the weather service warns.
