Member resigns from Lorain Port Authority

The Chronicle-Telegram Staff

LORAIN — Lorain Port Authority member Scotti Campana has resigned from his position on the board.
In his letter of resignation, Campana cited personal reasons and the fact that Mayor Craig Foltin is leaving office in August to take a position with Cuyahoga Community College.
“(Foltin) was a great leader,” Campana said Tuesday. “He’s the one that asked me to be on the board. Not to say that anyone else won’t be a great leader, it was just the timing.”
Campana has been to only one port board meeting since December because of health issues and said he now wants to spend more time with his children.
In addition to owning a mortgage company in Amherst, he is also a partner in his family business, P.C. Campana and is involved with two other companies.
“I’ve got a lot on my plate,” he said. “My kids are 15, 14, 10 and 7, and I want to focus on them.”
