Officer Jason West online memoriam

Bruce Bishop | The Chronicle-Telegram

Cleveland Heights police Officer Jason West was shot and killed Saturday while on duty breaking up a fight involving a man police knew to be unpredictable.
West, 31, grew up in Avon and graduated from Avon High School in 1994. He had worked for the Avon Police Department as a dispatcher before joining the Cleveland Heights Police Department as an officer seven years ago.
West played baseball at Tiffin University, and loved the sport, according to friends. He had dreams of settling down and raising a family, and loved riding around on his Harley-Davidson motorcycle whenever he had the chance.
He also loved protecting and serving.

Please leave your condolences or memories of Officer Jason West.
